Colin Weir is a fintech entrepreneur, investor, and digital banking strategist, with a strong focus on gamification, mobile banking, and customer engagement technologies. He has founded and led multiple fintech ventures, driving disruptive innovation in the financial services industry across Australia and globally

Colin grew up in New Zealand and launched his first software platform by commercializing his post‐graduate thesis, which focused on forecasting the economic impact of management decisions on New Zealand forests. His early technical experience set the stage for his transition into fintech innovation. Following the award of a Ph.D. scholarship to the London School of Economics, Colin pivoted into banking, building one of Europe’s first trade finance internet banking platforms and played a central role in creating the world’s first commercial certification authority for issuing digital certificates and strong crypto for major global banks-a venture that eventually exited successfully to Netscape.

Moroku – Building the Future of Financial Engagement Colin is the Founder and CEO of Moroku, a fintech company that leverages mobile, cloud, and behavioural science to create game-based financial experiences. Moroku’s technology empowers banks and financial institutions to enhance customer engagement, financial literacy, and user retention by making banking more interactive and rewarding.

Fintech Bank – Reinventing Digital-First Banking As Co-Founder and Advisor at Fintech Bank, Colin is actively involved in scaling and developing digital banking solutions that cater to modern financial consumers, with a focus on seamless user experiences, embedded finance, and next-generation banking models.
